  1. Greetings,

My spouse and I are considering work at Unity High School. I am not sure if you are the same person who had or has a child at the school, but we are hoping to get a parent’s perspective.
If I have reached the wrong person, please accept my apologies.

    1. Dear Terry,
My daughter finished school from Unity and my son is in year 11.
We as parents are happy with the school. We will be happy to have good teachers like you.
I would like to know where you heard about me.
      Best regards,
      Bhaskar

  2. Thank you for your quick reply, and your encouragement.

I have been reading the Unity archive blog to try to get a “feel” for the school, but of course much of it is about the dispute over the trustees, and I don’t know how to interpret that, except that it means there is a lot of new staff. I found your name in the comments and did a google search from there. Interesting blog! If there are other parents who would feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, we would love to contact them.

We would bring 2 daughters, ages 9 & 11, and so of course we want to make sure they have a good experience. We hear great things about Khartoum (except the heat), and sense that the students would make our children welcome.

If you would indulge a few more questions: Is it your sense that the school has changed much since Mr. Woods became principal? He seems like a good guy to us. Are the new teachers strong? Do your children find their classes interesting as well as challenging?

    Thank you.

    1. Dear Terry,
Mr.Woods is the third Principal that I have seen in the last 10 years. I have seen different strengths in each Principal. Mr.Woods has completed his first year.We can see that he is determined to take the quality of education to greater heights. He has recruited good teachers. Most of them are good and make the lessons interesting.
      Best regards,
      Bhaskar

    1. Are you just making a short visit or plan to stay. I have lived here in Khartoum for almost 14 years with my family. Very safe and secured. Economy is in bad shape.High inflation. Transferring money from Sudan to India is a major problem because Indian banks don’t deal with Sudan. There are Indian restaurants and good hotels.
